You guys wanted new apps for the Playstation Vita? Well you got them. You still don’t have Skype, but you have three other pretty cool looking apps. According to the PlayStation Blog, “PlayStation Vita owners can look forward to a trio of free applications to help you make the most of the handheld console’s unique features, the first of which will be available to download this week, on April 18.”
The game that was released last week in Europe, StarDrone Extreme, is hitting the North American Playstation Stores on April 17th. See guys. You didn’t have to wait long.

It’s been a while now since we’ve heard about Playstation’s cheap SDK; which entered a closed beta for a chosen few people back in November. But we’ve now been told the open beta will arrive in April, allowing any interested developer to create content for the PS Suite, which will ultimately be accessible to all PlayStation-certified Android smartphones and tablets as well as the PS Vita.

Good news for the PlayStation vita this morning! Sony has announced, that sales of the Vita have reached 1.2 million globally, boosted by the recent launch in Americas, Europe and PAL territories. According to the company, sales of the hardware have “exceeded expectations,” with software sales for the new handheld surpassing 2 million units.
